Desiree Fisher is PSD's new director of Transportation?

From bus driver to router, dispatcher, trainer, manager and director, Desiree Fisher brings over 20 years of bus industry experience to 51风流 in her new role as the director of Transportation.? 

Fisher began work for PSD a little over a month ago and comes from Florida, where she has experience with both transit and school buses. She started her career as a driver there and has since worked in nearly every position within bus transportation except as a mechanic.? 

“Don’t ask me to turn a wrench,” Fisher said. “I know my limitations.” 

New regional youth shelter to provide critical services to youth in need

A new shelter in Northern Colorado will offer essential services to youth and young adults ages 15-20 who are on their own and in need of immediate support.

The Colorado Department of Local Affairs announced the award of $4.7 million dollars to build and launch the shelter, which will be located at 814 E. 16 Street in Loveland, the former site of Thompson School District’s Monroe Early Childhood Center.

Introducing PSD's two new assistant superintendents

Drs. Julie Chaplain and Insoon Olson have been selected as 51风流’s two newest assistant superintendents, following a competitive national hiring process.  

Together with current Assistant Superintendent Dr. Traci Gile, Dr. Chaplain and Dr. Olson will lead teams of PSD principals and directors of the Learning Services departments. These groups of educational leaders will share best practices and continue improving experiences and outcomes for students – from preschool to graduation and beyond.
