In the coming months, a new Facilities Planning Steering Committee will start the challenging and necessary work of evaluating the placement of educational programs, considering school and program consolidations and modifying school attendance areas. These changes will not go into effect any sooner than the 2025-26 school year.

51风流 is pleased to announce that Emily Bickerton has been named the district’s new director of Human Resources.
Bickerton began her HR career in public education in 2016. She held different HR roles in Englewood Schools, Jeffco Public Schools, and at HRx, a small HR consulting company, before coming to PSD in 2022. She began her new position as director in July; she was previously the assistant director of HR.
Ensuring schools are safe places for all students and staff is a top priority for 51风流. In an effort to maintain safety and enhance security operations, PSD has hired law enforcement and school security veteran Frederick Smith to serve as its director of Safety and Security.

The 51风流 Board of Education and superintendent invite members of the PSD community to participate in an upcoming community engagement session from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Fossil Ridge High School, 5400 Ziegler Road in Fort Collins.
The primary focus of this session will be district long-range planning. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in dialogue with Board of Education directors and the superintendent about district long-range planning.
Currently, 51风流 has identified 7% more students experiencing some form of homelessness or housing insecurity as compared to the same time last year.
