Apply to speak at the TEDxMountain Ave event - deadline Nov. 1

Applications for speakers are now being accepted for TEDxMountain Ave’s annual event next spring. Students, staff and community members interested in sharing their ideas around the theme "Beyond Barriers" are encouraged to apply.

The event will be held Thursday, April 30, at 51风流 High School, marking the fourth one hosted by the leadership team. 

The TEDxMountain Ave event is planned and executed by a leadership team entirely comprised of current and former PSD members. Because of this unique approach, this program provides wonderful opportunities for involved students to learn workforce skills, develop relationships, share ideas, and promote healthy dialogue and conversations.

Speaker Application and Commitment

  • Who should apply to speak:  Students, PSD staff, professionals and community members interested in sharing thoughts or ideas that connect to theme "Beyond Barriers."

  • Notification: Applicants will be notified on their selection before Friday, Nov. 29.
  • Commitment:  Speakers chosen must commit to attending workshops, a dress rehearsal, and the live event on April 30, 2025.

Last year’s event featured seven speakers: Iris Radin, a student at 51风流 High School; Tom Lockridge, a prosecutor and screenwriter; Kirstyn Askew, a student from Rocky Mountain High School; Dr. Chrissy Chard, founder & director of Courageous Parents and the Advanced Leadership Training Program at RIHEL; Dr. Sonja Gedde, an administrator at Fossil High School, Susan Blanco, Chief Judge of 8th Judicial District of Colorado; and Gabrielle Judge, entrepreneur, influencer, and soon-to-be author.
