Here is information about spring community listening sessions and how you can apply to be on the new Facilities Planning Steering Committee.
Take an active role in district’s planning process
- PSD has established a Facilities Planning Steering Committee. The 31-representative committee’s charge is to develop recommendations regarding potential modifications to program placement and school attendance areas, including the possible consolidation of schools, that assist the district in addressing the challenges it faces due to ongoing declining enrollment.
- The committee will present a recommendation to the PSD Board of Education in May 2024. No changes will go into effect before the 2025-26 school year.
- Committee members must commit to attend all committee meetings, which will take place in-person between Feb. 2 and May 28.
- Applications must be submitted no later than Jan. 3, 2024. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered. Applicants will be notified of selection around mid-January 2024.
